SMS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) / Verification Codes

We offer multi-factor authentication (MFA) or two-factor authentication (2FA) as an optional security feature to help protect your account. When you choose to enable SMS-based MFA, we will send a one-time verification code (also called a one-time password or OTP) via text message (SMS) to the mobile phone number you provide or email a code to the email provided (depending on which method was opted into). This code is used solely to verify your identity during login, password reset, or other high-security actions on our service.

Key points about our SMS MFA service:

  • Opt-in only — We will never send you an SMS verification code (or any other text message) unless you have explicitly opted in to this feature by enabling SMS MFA in your profile settings and providing your mobile phone number.
  • Transactional messages only — We send only the one-time verification code needed for authentication. We do notsend promotional, marketing, informational, or any other non-security-related text messages.
  • No recurring messages — These are not recurring or subscription-based texts. Each SMS is triggered only by your specific authentication attempt.
  • Message and data rates — Standard message and data rates may apply for messages sent to and from your mobile device, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Please contact your carrier for details on applicable charges. We do not charge you any additional fees for sending these verification codes.
  • Carrier disclaimer — Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Opt-out / disabling — You can disable SMS MFA (and stop receiving verification codes) at any time by turning off the feature in your profile security settings. If you ever receive an unexpected message, contact us immediately at support@inspectall.com.
  • Data usage — We collect and use your mobile phone number solely to deliver the one-time verification code and to enhance account security. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number may be shared with our trusted SMS service provider (e.g., AWS or similar) solely to facilitate delivery of the verification message, under strict confidentiality and security obligations. We retain your phone number as part of your profile record in accordance with our general data retention practices.

This SMS MFA feature is provided as a convenience to improve your account security. While SMS-based verification is widely used and effective against many threats, no authentication method is infallible. We recommend considering additional or alternative MFA methods (such as authenticator apps) where available for enhanced protection.
