I'm missing a question on my form

If you are missing a question on a form you've added for an asset, it's likely that you have your attribute exclusions set up to eliminate a question based on the configuration of that asset.  For example, if you set up the asset as a "bridge" crane, have you excluded questions on a form template that shouldn't be excluded when you enter "Bridge" as the "Configuration or Type"?

You can double check that by going into FORM BUILDER on the website as an Admin and clicking on the blue "#attributes" link beside the asset class.  From there, go into any selection lists in the "Options" column, and click on the selections to see what questions you are excluding based on the input you have for an asset.

  • Go to Form Builder on the InspectAll website.
  • Click Attributes  to pull up the attributes for the class. It will be a blue link beside an asset class where the form template in question is stored.

  • Look for any attributes where you have "selections" in the option column.

  • Click on the Selections box in the options column.

If an exclusion has been set up on one of the selections, you will see it in this screen. In the example below, there has been one question excluded when the attribute of Machinery Usage has a selection of "Not in Use".

  • Click on the ""Exclude # Questions when Selected" box.

That will pull up a list of all form templates in use for that class of asset. Go through to determine which questions have been checked off based on that selection.

Repeat these steps for ALL the attributes for that asset class that have a selection list associated until you find the excluded question.

If you are unable to determine which exclusion you set up that is eliminating the wrong questions, please let us know the asset ID and Form ID and we can take a look on our end.
