Signing In with Microsoft or Google
Introduction [Note, at the moment this feature is only available for web access, mobile access will come in a future update]
In addition to the standard username and password login, InspectAll supports Sign in with Microsoft and Sign in with Google. These options let you sign in using your work or school Microsoft account (Microsoft 365 / Entra ID) or your Google account without entering a separate InspectAll password.
This is especially useful for enterprise users. Your organization’s identity provider handles authentication, so you can use the same credentials you already use for other company tools.
Important: The email address returned by Microsoft or Google must match the email address on your existing InspectAll user account. If the addresses do not match, sign-in will fail. Contact your InspectAll company administrator if you need the email on your account updated.
You can still use username and password at any time as a fallback.
Signing In with Microsoft
For End Users
- Go to https://app.inspectall.com (or open the InspectAll mobile app).
- Click Sign in with Microsoft.
- Sign in with your work or school Microsoft account (the account your organization manages in Microsoft 365 / Entra ID).
- If this is your first time, you may be asked to review and accept the permissions InspectAll requests (typically basic profile information such as your name and email). Click Accept.
- You will be returned to InspectAll and signed in.
For Microsoft 365 / Entra ID Administrators
Most organizations allow users to consent to low-risk applications. However, many enterprises restrict user consent. In those cases, users will see a message such as:
- “Need admin approval”
- “Approval required”
- Error codes such as AADSTS65001 or AADSTS90094
What administrators need to do:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a user with at least the Cloud Application Administrator or Application Administrator role.
- Go to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications.
- Search for InspectAll (or the application name shown in the consent prompt).
- Open the application and go to Security > Permissions.
- Select Grant admin consent for [your organization] and confirm.
Alternatively, the first time a user attempts to sign in, they may be able to request admin approval. Once an administrator approves the request, subsequent users in the same tenant can sign in without further prompts.
If you do not see the application or need a direct admin consent link, contact InspectAll support at support@inspectall.com and we can provide the specific consent URL or Client ID for your organization.
Notes:
- Granting admin consent allows users in your tenant to sign in. You can further restrict access by setting Assignment required to Yes on the Enterprise application and assigning only specific users or groups.
- Conditional Access policies in your tenant still apply. If your policies block the sign-in, users will see the usual Microsoft Conditional Access messages.
Signing In with Google
For End Users
- Go to https://app.inspectall.com (or open the InspectAll mobile app).
- Click Sign in with Google.
- Choose or sign in with the Google account whose email matches your InspectAll account (this can be a Google Workspace account or a personal Gmail account).
- Review any permission request (InspectAll typically requests only basic profile information: email, name, and profile picture) and click Allow.
- You will be returned to InspectAll and signed in.
For Google Workspace Administrators
Personal Google accounts (@gmail.com) generally work without additional configuration. Google Workspace (managed) accounts are controlled by your organization’s admin settings.
Users may see an error such as:
- “Access blocked: Your institution’s admin needs to review [app]”
- Error 400: access_not_configured or admin_policy_enforced
What administrators need to do:
- Sign in to the Google Admin console as a Super Admin or a user with the Security settings administrator privilege.
- Go to Security > Access and data control > API controls.
- Under App access control, click Manage third-party app access.
- Search for InspectAll (or add it by OAuth Client ID if it does not appear).
- Set the access level to Trusted (or at minimum ensure that third-party apps requesting only basic sign-in information are allowed).
Recommended settings for unconfigured apps:
- Go to API controls > Settings.
- Under Unconfigured third-party apps, select Allow users to access third-party apps that only request basic info needed for Sign in with Google.
- This allows standard Sign in with Google flows while still restricting broader data access.
Changes can take a few minutes to take effect. After the app is trusted or basic sign-in is allowed, users should be able to sign in.
If you need the specific OAuth Client ID for InspectAll, contact support@inspectall.com.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | What to Try |
|---|---|---|
| “Need admin approval” or AADSTS65001 (Microsoft) | Your organization has restricted user consent | Contact your Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administrator and ask them to grant admin consent for InspectAll (see section above). |
| “Access blocked” or admin needs to review (Google) | Google Workspace has restricted third-party apps | Contact your Google Workspace administrator and ask them to trust the InspectAll app or allow basic Sign in with Google (see section above). |
| Email address does not match | The email from Microsoft/Google differs from the email on your InspectAll user record | Contact your InspectAll company administrator to update the email on your user account, or use username/password instead. |
| Pop-up or redirect is blocked | Browser pop-up blocker or strict security settings | Allow pop-ups for app.inspectall.com, or try a different browser. Ensure cookies are enabled. |
| Sign-in succeeds but you land on an error or are not recognized | Account does not exist yet, or user is inactive | Confirm that an InspectAll administrator has created your user account and that it is active. See related articles below. |
| Works on one device but not another | Conditional Access, device compliance, or browser differences | Try a different browser or device. Check with your IT team about Conditional Access policies. |
Additional tips:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies for app.inspectall.com, login.microsoftonline.com, and accounts.google.com if you encounter intermittent issues.
- Try an incognito/private window.
- Ensure your browser is up to date (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari latest stable versions are recommended).
- You can always fall back to the standard email and password login.
