Restoring Device from Cloud
If I get a new device, should I restore InspectAll from the cloud or local backup on my computer?
No! When you get a new mobile device, be sure to re-install the InspectAll app on your new device from the App store or Google Play and do a sync instead of restoring the app from a back up. Since InspectAll is login based, your information will be available in InspectAll as soon as you do your first successful sync on your new device.
When a mobile user gets a new device, there is often the option to restore the data onto the device from the cloud or from a local backup on the computer. When doing a restore, do NOT restore the InspectAll app. Doing so could potentially create a security concern where someone could access your InspectAll data from your backup data and attempt to sync as you into InspectAll. Additionally, if the backup is restored to multiple devices, each device will share the same sync "deviceID" which will cause major inconsistencies in your data, as well as syncing issues.
After installing InspectAll on your new device, do a sync, and confirm it has finished before collecting new data. Additional troubleshooting steps can be found HERE.
