Folder Description

Use your Folder Description Field. It's searchable!

The Description field on your folder is searchable, shows up as notes for your mobile user, and can even be added to your reports if it's something you want your customer or the end-user to see.

Some of our clients' uses for Folder Description:

  • Customer PO number or Work order number
  • Description of service to be performed
  • Instructions to your inspectors
  • Confirmation of review
  • Internal Notes
  • Invoice number
  • Date of job ("July 2019 Fall Protection")

Add a Folder Description on the Website

You can enter a Folder Description on the website in two places.  Either from the Folder Grid or from within a folder.

On the folder grid, just tap where it reads, + Add Description...

You can also go into a folder, and tap on the blue pencil icon to EDIT the description or type.  Or just tap on the blue pencil icon beside the "Description" field on the left hand side.

Add a Folder Description on the Mobile App

Just tap on the Folder Details and enter a description in that field.  

Mobile users will also see any description entered both on the Folder View as well as from within a Folder on the mobile app.

Search by Your Folder Description

When your customer calls and asks about an invoice or PO, get right to the Folder you are looking for.

You can search from the Folders Grid, using the filter tools on the left hand side of the page.

Show the Folder Description on your Reports

In the event you want the text entered in Folder Description to show up on the cover sheet of your report, all you have to do is update your folder settings.
