Report Settings / Defaults

Report Defaults

In addition to the Folder Type specific settings available in Folder Settings for Folder Reports, you can also set up Report Defaults that will apply to All STANDARD Folder reports and Form reports from the "Report Branding" menu.

These options set the defaults for Standard Reports and will apply to all new Form Templates and Folder Types created. Some of these settings can be overridden for each Folder Type individually under the specific folder type settings. Details on settings available by Folder Type can be found HERE.

Note:  To update settings on a Custom Report please contact support@inspectall.com.

How to Access the Report Default Settings

On the InspectAll website, click on your name at the top right to access the Admin menu.

Click on "Report Branding" from the drop down.

If you'd like to apply these changes to every Form Template and Folder Type currently created, tap the Update and Apply to All button below after checking off the corresponding box.  If you only click on "Update" then only new Folder Types and Form Templates will employ the setting.

  • Unanswered Questions

When you click to Show Unanswered Questions, your Folder and Form reports will show questions where an answer or priority have not been selected.

Comments can be entered on any question when filling out a form.  When you click to Show Answer Comments, they will be shown on your Folder and Form reports.

The Question Definition is the small text that shows on the question beneath the question text.  It is typically used to enter instructions to the user that don't show on the reports.  If you click to Show Question Definition, this text will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

This function determines if the "Resolved" designator and notes on resolved priorities show on the reports.  The setting can be Folder Type specific, or you can update it in "Branding" to apply it to all Folder and Form Reports.

  • Additional Reference Fields

The additional reference fields are the fields that can be optionally set up in the Quote Module.  By default, these fields are hidden on your standard folder and form reports, and only populate when you export a Quote Report.  More details on the Quote Module can be found HERE.

The asset section that shows on the standard Folder or Form report downloads includes the Asset Class, Location, ID1, ID2, Status, Description, and attributes. If you click to Show the Asset Section, this section will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

The location section will show the location you have selected for that form.  You can update the location of an asset or a form.  More details HERE.

If you click to Show the Location Section, this section will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

The Area section will show the Area you have selected for that form.  You can update the Area of an asset or a form.  More details HERE.

If you click to Show the Area Section, this section will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

Form Instructions are designed to allow you to enter internal details about a form template that the InspectAll user will see when filling it out.

If you click to Show the Form Instructions, this section will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

After marking a form complete, the user who completed it as well as the date will be on the Folder and Form Reports in the header section.

If you click to Show the Completed By section, this section will be shown on the Folder and Form Reports.

When you enter a number, only the first # of asset attributes you enter will show on the report. For example, setting this option to 5 will show only the first 5 attributes for an asset for which the fields are filled out.
